20 x 20 inch 8 pointer I was still hunting in Chatham county in early December when this beautiful 8 pointer and a spike stepped into a clearing. One shot with my 243 WSSM and he dropped in his tracks. This makes the 5th buck taken to our local taxidermist, (Charles at Plank Road Taxidermy, my brother) killed from this stand in hte last 10 years!

Sleepless Nights I have been watching this bruiser since September while hunting with the Bow. Then again with the Muzzleloader. After thinking he had been harvested already he shows back up 12/28/2008. One day left for me to hunt(work always gets in the way) and he will keep me awake knowing he's still there!

First Bear 212 LBS This was my first bear ever! I was second gun a 10 year old boy was first gun but, when the bear decidefd to jump from one tree back to another and the first gun bowed out, it was up to me to keep us from wearing a live bear. The 45-70 did it's job with one shot. I will always remember this hunt. Thanks to a very special friend.

this is not his best pose. But he did get to go for a ride in my hunting buggy. This buck was taken on private land with a bowon 10/28/2008. He was the smaller of two bucks and the only one in range. He was taken with a 40 yard shot. His antler spread is 19 in.

8 Pointer 18 inch spread I hunted hard the week November 24 -- 29 2008. On Monday November 24 I shot a spike. Then on Friday November 28 at 7:30 a.m. this 8 pointer came in following a doe. I was shooting a Remington 243. I was still hunting.

12 point shot in Person County I am submitting this deer for my dad, Mack Grady, he has been hunting for over thirty years and this is his best buck to date. He has taught me everything I know about hunting and I have been fortunate enough to harvest a few nice deer. One of them was featured in your Deer of the Year issue in February of 2005. I have wanted nothing more than for him to kill a nice one he can have on the wall. So it gives the greatest pride and enjoyment to submit his dee... Click Here for More
