The Travelers Rest High School team of Oakley Connor and Daniel Clark brought a five-bass limit to the scale Sunday weighing 23 pounds, 9 ounces, to win the 2015 South Carolina State High School Fishing Championship on Lake Marion. 

The win qualified Conner and Clark to compete in the High School Fishing Southeastern Conference championship on Lake Lanier in September along with the next five teams:

·         Eric Glenn and Nathan McPherson of Berkeley H.S., 16 pounds;

·         Sean Hall and Kyler McKie, North Augusta H.S., 13-0;

·         Carter McNeil and Daelyn Whaley, Abbeville H.S., 12-7;

·         Trenton Hastings and James Alex Trotter, Greenwood H.S., 12-3;

·         Jordan Cole and Benjamin Grice, Dorman H.S., 10-11.

Rounding out the top 10 were: Andrew Nico and Parker Calvert of Stratford H.S., 10-2; Hagen Schindledicker and Kaelin Hawkins, Berkeley H.S., 9-5; Tommy Monnet and Nolan Lytchfield, Berkeley H.S., 9-5, Connor Burch and Brad Wilson, North Augusta H.S., 7-14.
