Crossway Church in Loris is hosting the annual Crossway Critter Cooking on Feb. 6, and as the name implies, it will be a feast of wild game. But there is much more to it than just some good food.
Neal Watson will be the guest speaker. Watson is the Field Pastor for Revelation Outdoors, an organization whose focus is on using social media, film, and public speaking to spread their word of faith from the perspective of waterfowl hunting.
A duck calling competition will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Door prizes will be given away throughout the dinner, and folks from Rugged and Committed, Woodshed Taxidermy, and Outcast Waterfowl Calls will also be on hand.
This is a family-friendly event, with archery, sporting clays, marksmanship, and casting contests. Kids can register for a chance to win a Mossberg 500 shotgun.
The event will take place from 2 to 6 p.m. at Crossway Church, 2000 Hwy. 701 in Loris. The best part is, it’s free!
