The Lowrance HDS Gen2 Touch includes StructureScan in the unit and adds touchscreen capabilities. |
Several design and function improvements were made in the new units, with the most obvious being the upgrade to touchscreen control. Touchscreen menus and five push buttons simplify and control all operations of the Gen2 Touch products.
For the first time, StructureScan is contained in the unit and does not require an additional piece of equipment. An award-winning Broadband Sounder and real time Structure Map allows overlaying StructureScan HD imaging data on the chart for a lifelike view of nearby structure in relation to the boats position. DownScan Imaging can also be overlayed onto the Broadband Sounder view to give an incomparable fish and structure finding display.
A new, super-accurate, GPS receiver is standard, and all will be matched to Insight Genesis Compatibility in November, which will allow creating maps with high definition contour mapping, bottom hardness and more. In addition, all Gen2 Touch models will be NMEA 2000 and NMEA 0183 compliant with two Ethernet ports that will allow adding Lowrance Performance Upgrade Choices compatible with Broadband 4G and 3G Radar, LGC-4000 external GPS antenna, SonicHub® marine audio entertainment system, AIS collision-avoidance system, engine interface cables, plus video camera inputs on 9 and 12-inch models.
