Keepsake Call
Those are some nice looking pots.Love the wood. I saw a bunch of turkey today standing in the rain in a field on Ashevilles Biltmore estate. Got me a little excited thinking about where I'm gonna take my first turkey this season,of course it won't be the Biltmore estate, lol. Hopefully it will be on gameland.
Dang GT them calls look good.I love that one with the pic on it.I hope i can kill me a gobbler this year and get a pic of my Daughter and me with the turkey, could you make me a call like that with the pic on it?By the way i found a little turkey dead one time in the woods(bout the size of a chickin),nothin had ate any of it,it was just laying there.Any idea what could have happened?
I was deer hunting during the week Sandy came by. The wind was rather blustery and I had contemplated getting down. I had my stand set up 20 yards behind a old tobacco barn. About that time I saw something move at the top point of the roof. Out came five turkey, one after the other. They had roosted in the barn. They got on the ground and I could hear their wings as they did. Came toward my corn pile and milled around a bit. I barely moved to get my camera, and they blended away and on down the edge.
Sometimes as I walked in to stand I could hear something in the barn. I figure they did this quite a bit more than you would think. I think there isn't any reason for you to worry about the wind getting them.
I been thinking the same thing man. Hope they can hang on tonight when the bad weather hits. Lets all pray no tornadoes hit.
