Turkey Hunting in Central North Carolina

Hello everyone, Now that I have your attention lol let me Explain: As I did last year during Youth Day, I will Give 2 Free calls away this year to successful Youth Turkey Hunters BUT...This year we have a youth week so I been trying to figure out a way that would be fair since most peoples time afield is limited and also Not everyone (Well maybe everyone But myself lol) has a fancy Cell Phone with in the Field Internet Access (Yeah I'm a Old School Flip phone Kinda Guy lol)and has to get home before they can share But Anyway...I think the way I'm going to do it is this.

Every Youth that kills a Gobbler and shares Their Picture and a short Play-By-Play (I prefer long lol) of the hunt with us on the Forum here will have their name put in a drawing...At 8:00 PM on April 12th My Daughter or Myself will Draw 2 Names as Winners of 2 African Mahogany Slate Calls made by Me and I will post the Winners.

Hope everyone has a Safe and Successful Turkey Season and with a Kill or Not remember what My grandpa used to tell me when we would Hunt or Fish.

Take ALL the Memories and leave only footprints!!!

Good Luck

That is really a generous thing you're doing GT. I hope to have Gracie in the woods at least once. She enjoys it whether she sees anything or not and I do too.I'm trying to get my dad interested in turkey hunting.I think I might be getting somewhere since tonight he said he needed to get him a call lol. I think if can ever call one in for him he'll be hooked. He said if I'll call one in he'll shoot it. Now that would be the hunt of a lifetime, almost as good as seeing Gracie kill one.Good luck everybody. Take a kid hunting!!!

Youth Hunt

Well I've been scouring the neighborhood looking for a kid that looks under 15 years of age. My kids are 27 and 22 so they don't qualify for a youth hunt.

I've checked the church the playgrounds and even the library. Things were going great until I showed up in camo at the local elementary school, hiding in the bushes with my 'Spursuader' in hand. That's when the 'SWAT TEAM' showed up!

Joking aside I wish all the youth a safe and happy hunt. I'll catch up on the 13th!
