Pete Kramer, Dan Medrano, Jack Belyea and Dan Rooney from Kramer Management Group chartered the Topshotfishing team to do some deep sea big game sport fishing in Fort Lauderdale, FL Winds were out of the east at 5 mph, blue skies, seas were running 2-3 ft, temperatures in the mid 80ís.
Last Saturday Oct 18 I got into the box stand in hopes of seeing the tall 8 point that we have had on camera. We new he was in the area and deer had started pushing does around, making their scrapes, and hitting antlers together. Around 5:30 a doe ran across the path at 315 yards followed closely by a small 6 point. About 10 minutes later he walked out right behind the first buck. I....
My wife and I went out for a quick hunt this morning dressed for church under our camo, and this big 9 pointer came through dogging a doe at about 7:25. I had to 'nay' at him to stop him and when I did Rhonda put the arrow right on the button. The brute weighed 170 pounds and gross measured 140 inches. Rhonda was pretty thrilled, as is obvious by the big smile on her face.
On October 25th I went on my first deer hunting trip at the age of 34. It's never too late to start. The trip to Warren County was compliments of Combat Warriors Inc., an orginization that provides hunting and fishing opportunities for combat veterans and the Embro Hunting CLub. Throughout the morning we hunted with dogs but I didn't have any success. With about an hour and a half of daylight....
I go to the stand on Oct.25 and when I get there I see a large buck in food plot, at day light he wonders off. Over the next hour or so I see close to 15 does all different times moving through the field. About 8:50am a large buck runs out ahead of me from the woods and then this one I shot right behind about 4 to 5 minutes later running 2 does. Shot by Jason Dunn in Snow Camp, Alamance County
Im hearing a lot of things from a lot of folks that suggest the rut maybe already coming on strong this year. From bucks already chasing hard to a good friend killing a mature 8 pt this past friday that came into his stand nose to the ground, about 200 yds behind a doe, swole up and soaked in sweat. Had another good friend who saw 5 bucks killed on the side of the road in a 15 mile commute home....

Ole man 7 took his last walk on the farm tonight. Missed him on video and tonight he stepped back out in the same food plot. 2014 will be a hard one to beat. Tagged out with my bow. Now just going to video and maybe knock a few doe's down.
Got to go hunt with a great friend once again this past week. Each time we went out was a great experience just to be in the woods witnessing nature first hand. I was blessed to take a nice doe with my crossbow, and am very thankful for the opportunity to have more meat in the freezer. I am also thankful to have such great friends that invite me to hunt and make me so welcome in their home.
Don't know if I can say this or not but if not the mod will delete.
I have a game cam that has a two year warranty, called Bushnell to make sure and they told me go to their website. Even before that I was asked for mod and serial and date code. We agreed it was less then two yrs old. It was actually 18 months by mfg date.
I get a letter saying it's not worth repairing and no longer in....
