I purchased a tree stand in august and Robert Burns had said I would have it before labor day. It didn't come until after labor day. Well he sent me a stand I didn't order and from what kburns said it was on purpose and the stand they sent was more expensive. I explained it wouldn't work for all the areas i hunt and needed the stand that I ordered. He said I could use the stand he sent until I got my stand, which would be October and maybe even November. Well its December and the stand has not arrived and haven't heard from Robert Burns at all. I did some research and found out there is a lot more than just me waiting on a stand. One guy has been waiting four years. Posted on (http://huntfish.net/client/2199/austin_outdoors) I think Robert Burns is scamming a lot of people.

    Dang
WOW Really? I have meet Mr. Burns and actually bought a Aluminum Cadillac Climber (16lbs) from him at the Big Buck expo. I will say that they are 1 of the Best on the Market hands down!!! Not sure about your experience unless his health has got bad? I will say that when I decided I wanted the Aluminum Cadillac that I tried the web-site and never got a reply? I just seen them at the deer show and got it there with no tax or shipping charge..I would be upset also...Maybe they will send you the stand you want and let you keep the other stand as well. I see the Big shot climbers on Craigslist all the time for around $100 and that's a Steal!!! GOOD LUCK

Ok thanks I may need it. Just checked with Better Business Bureau and they have closed 10 complaints just in the last 12 months most being delivery issues. No telling how many is still open. He will have one more next week. The old buckshots are great. I had one stolen last year and was trying to replace it. They are opening back up soon. http://034d140.netsolstores.com/

    Stands
That's Cool but I never liked the equalizer stands because I heard horror stories of them braking. The Ultra-lite Cadillac That I have faces the tree and I added some side bags to it...I have a summit 180 SS max also but it weighs 26lbs...The Cadillac is advertised at 15 1/2 Pounds and is ROCK Solid!!! I love it and have even Bowhunted from it...Just lean over the side a little...Good Luck

    problems
I also had a problem with this guy. I ordered one online about three years ago and after numerous unanswered phone calls he sent only part of my treestand. It did not include the rails and seat backrest. He said it was on backorder. Well had more problems and had to file with the BBB and after they contacted him or his company i finally got the rest of the stand. Then i had to assemble it. Love the stand but had poor service getting it.

My hunt club has been dealing with this company for 20 years we have over 75 of there stands. We have always gotten what we paid for. We just ordered knobs for our stands and got them in 2 days. Call them Im sure they will make everything right. As far as bbb goes how many complaints do you think mcdonalds gets in a day.Im sure this company makes mistakes like we all do, but for them to have been shipping stands and parts since the late 80s to thousands of us ,I believe there record is pretty good

I ordered a stand from mr. KBurns4012@aol.com in August 2014 was told I would have it in a couple weeks after several phone calls emails I received the Stand in May 2016 and it did not have all the components with it instead of the threaded knobs it had pins which would be perfectly safe but that's not how it's advertised the ratchet straps to hold the stand and foot climber so you can backpack it out was also missing and a couple other miscellaneous items... he told me that he was in the process of getting them made somewhere else I told him I would give him a few months to get his knobs because I had actually been blowing his phone and email up eight or ten times a week... here we are 26 months later and I still don't have all the parts for the climber they are awesome tree climbers I love them my dad bought one in 2003 from the previous rep of the company it was stolen a couple years ago that's why I was replacing it... I told him when I got my other parts for the super mag extream I would order a Cadillac Climber....now I think NOT.... unless he ships it to me first once I receive it I will pay for it They have such an awesome product I can't believe he's running his business like this...

WOW! I have had nothing but fantastic customer service from Austin Outdoors. Not only do they make the best, quietest, safest stand, but I can sit in it for hours!. Robert Burns went out of his way to help me out when I bought my 1st stand from him. But since then he has gone the extra mile to deliver 2 more stands to me. All I can say from my own experience is he goes above and beyond to make sure you are happy. Just the large number of stands that are out there is a testimonial to the quality of the stands. In my hunting club there are at least a dozen members with super mag stands. If you don't think so.....just go on facebook and try to find a used one for sale....fat chance.
