thanks gt...that's the pic i've seen and also another pic with better view of the antler. i heard it was killed in cottonville, in stanly county. the farm is a family farm...Mcswain farm in stanly co. but where ever it was killed, its a monster. i heard it will score in the 180's but i don't know. i hope ya can find out the facts and let us know.
LMBO!! @ Limbhanger 'whoever you are' I agree I would be dragging the Hide off that thing down main street...Big Buck for sure and
huntingforfood...If I hear anything else I'll let ya know but I looked and Southern Trophy Hunters did post this same pic on Facebook with the Title:
Southern Trophy Hunters
Anson County, NC in the house! Can I gitta chic-uh-chic-uh-chi-pow!!!
Whatever that means LOL!!!!!
West Virginia STUD!!!!
Speaking of Pigs!!! Guys, Check out the body on this guy my Buddy Zach got on trail cam back home in West V!!! He's been hunting this Buck hard for 3 weeks...truly a Giant!!! He said he would send me other Pics and if and when he does I'll share them. He has some cool Videos on Youtube also...He's a big Musky Catching son-of-a gun...Check'em out at GGGoutdoors....GGG is Grunt Gobble and Gills lol
I would pass out too. Good thing it wasn't my trail cam. That buck's what we call a divorcer - if you're spouse/significant other isn't a hunter, it'll cause a divorce. People have circulated that trail cam pic all over this area, saying it was taken in Anson/Stanly county. The info I got was that it scored 182, possibly 185.
CRH...That Buck with Hunter and the Dark trail Cam pic are the same Deer but the Big bodied Buck in the Daylight I added was a friend of mine Trails Cam...Sorry if I confused ya if it was my Pic but yeah..The dead Deer and the Dark photo look like the same deer to me...See the Kicker on the base of the Left G4? I see it on both deer myself. Gotta be same deer.
man...i had to double check myself to make sure i was living in NC because (lol) these two deer look like midwestern deer!!! i've been hunting for over 40 yrs and never seen anything like that. the biggest buck i've kill was a 130 and some change. at least now i know NC has some big bruiser...maybe even bigger than these two! good luck guys and girls. i'm tagged out and the freezer is full. looking forward to next year already.
This is a buck that any of us would put down in a heartbeat but I don't think he's gonna be a new state record. Not sippin' on hateraid cuz I'd love the shoot a buck like this. But if you're solely looking at score this buck will get hit with too many deductions to be a new state record. He's not non-typical so he'll be scored as typical - he's not even on each side and probably will gross around 180 and that will be less after they chop him up with all of the deductions.
Just my .02 on the score alone - he's an awesome buck that any one of us would love to harvest.
friend
bladen county 199 + green score
just like to say hello to everyone, new on site, this a pic of bladen county buck green scores 199+ 's my taxidermist caped him out and is gonna mount him, he said it was killed in bladen co this year and green scored 199 + groos. he said he is a main frame 12 pt,he said the guy has the horns drying for the 60 day waiting period but he will make the b&c score. just have to see how they deduct. my personal opinion gross score counts, i don't agree with deductions, how can you take away antler that is there just because of side to side differences. anyway merry xmas to all and good luck rest of this hunting season.
I heard about it today too, I work as an insurance adjusted and so happens I talked to the guys neighbor. He had wrecked his truck and said he was in the woods hunting and said it was 170+ class deer. Don't know if its true but I was thinking to myself that he may have killed it if he didnt answer his phone while deer hunting. LOL just my two cents..... I'm gonna do some calling around and as if I can find out for sure
