nantahla game land response

i have and live right next to the nantahala game land. it is definitely touph deer hunting in there the deer population is pretty low compared to what i was use to in pennsylvania. the woods is very thick. most of the deer around here stay on private land and alot of poaching takes place around here. the best deer hunting in macon county is def down in otto. if u cant get permission to hunt privat land best bet is to find acorns and a good trail and get a climber and prepare to sit all day. Rifle season def gets a ton of pressure round here, archery season you usaully dont run into other hunters other than bear hunters and small game hunters . feel free to text me at 828 200 9013 and i could give u some suggested spots.

never hunted that spot mostly just hunt macon county. heading out to halifax county next month i heard its really good hunting out there. theres a really good spot off of hwy 64 goin towards murphy from franklin that holds alot of hogs been wanting to stick one with my bow lol went about 2 weeks ago and saw 5 different bears. one was a mama and a cub kinda got me nervous since they were only 20 yards from me. lol they were hitting the acorns really hard.

i believe so i think hogs are pretty much like coyotes now. theres deer in that area off of 64 but it gets alot of pressure during rifle season. i went out today squirrel hunting and spooked up 3 does and a nice 6 pointer. should of had my bow lol. i was going to tell u that in elberton ga which is not to far from here the deer hunting is some of the best ive seen and its usually not too hard to find a lease. georgias got some awesome deer hunting i usually hunt stephens county late season. it just suks how expensive out of state liscense is. i loved elberton just because you get to see alot of deer . alot of folks around here hunt georgia. if u go towards chapel hill and more to the coast the deer population is alot higher. the hunting and country is very tuff around here but i kno people who have killed some big old giants around here. the spot i hunt close to me doesnt hold alot of deer but the bucks you do see are very nice. cant wait for my halifax county nc trip im so freakin pumped up....

There was a area I was going to check out over that way .and I'm glad u asked the question about the 270 or 300 because I'm look to get a new one myself lol what about a 30-06 I was thinking about that to .and what's a good gun that won't break the bank have any ideas like around $500.00 with a scope thanks agine

deer lease

yah man i want to try and get a lease next year couldnt do it this year cause of my daughter being born lol i was thinking somewhere in central north carolina. its hard to manage tho cause you dont know what your neighbors are doing. i usually try to shoot a buck with atleast 3 points on one side. i wish nc would put antler restrictions on bucks i def think it worked really good in pennsylvania. i just dont kno how to find a lease we need to do research but im def down man . i looked at a mossberg 4 by 4 black synthetic with stainless barell for 389 then u could get a nikon scope for 129 . thats wat i think i,m gonna do. they also have remmington 700 combos for 399 i just dont kno about the scopes they give u with them id buy a nikon or luepold to put on it.
