Can't complain about 2012 deer season!

Hope everyone has had a wonderful Christmas! Apologize, for my absence....Been a real busy fall, but did get a few trips to the woods! Early in rifle season was able to take my preacher with me on a cabarrus county rifle hunt to my honeyhole spot! Guess what.....Nada thing! Was able to return 2 days later with the weather cooperating, to the same stand and harvest a really nice 7pt. Man, I hated to inform preacher of what had happened! He weighed 155#, and had an inside spread of 17 1/4. Later on in the same week was able to hunt with my 5year old and harvest a really nice 120# doe! Man was this youngin' pumped up after the shot! I certainly have been blessed this season! P.S. I've been periodically checking the board to see how successful everyone has been this year....'High-Five' to all!!

Merry Christmas to you 2!

Something about a kid with a harvest! It just makes my heart soar! It just goes to show our traditions will carry on after we are gone! What better way to promote it, than to have kids right there, gathering memories! When they see how much you enjoy it. They are bound to grow up wanting to be just like you! Hope you have a Happy New Year! And hope you get out and tag another before the end of season!

Yes, sir!

You are right. No reason to complain! I love them wide antlers the most. And your boy took a heck of a doe. Very nice pair of deer. You really have been blessed. Congrats, prowler!

Boots

Swampprowler, I obviously struck a nerve with you on my comment on BCBs post but what else is new huh? Anyway was wondering if you are wearing MUCK boots in this photo? I was Torn between MUCK and another Pair of Lacrosse recently and went with the Lacrosse Alpha Mudlites because they were on Sale but after wearing them a few days checking traps...They seem to hurt my feet more than my older Alphas...Think I'll try MUCK Woody Elites next time.
