I was rewarded with a great Tom, after a season of highs and lows! With much luck and patience I shot a Tom that scores104.98 on the NWTF scoring system. I have to thank Dereck and John for a great season and encouragement! Thanks more than I can say!

Well Diane00 shoved something into my side at the Expo and at First I was thinking...GUN!!! I instantly looked to make sure that if it was a Gun, She had the right part pointed at me and wouldn't shoot herself But it turned out to be her Spurs from her second Gobbler this year...She said she liked the other Spur necklaces I made and wanted me to 'Do something with these!' Got a couple of wing bones put together and my buddy dipped em in camo!! Check him out on Facebook at Cane Creek Hydrographics. He can do just about anything when it comes to designs!!

My Turkey Beard Collection was getting 'Bunched up' on a Single shelf so I stopped and got a Few Boards from a Old Wood shed that had fell that was well over 100 Years old the property owner told me and made me a simple Double Shelf and made it Big enough so If I ever get Lucky and kill another Gobbler I can add a beard in between each of these and Bunch them up again lol, I also cooked the.... maybe a 4 or 5 inch beard, around 1 inch spurs. A deep, full roll gobble and a full tail fan. in range for 6 minutes, and maybe 8 yards at one point. would you have taken him? keep in mind its about midway through the season, with only one tag left.

My season has been great,but hard. Was blessed with a trophy bird at Dons and tagged out reaching one of my goals,taking a nice one with my bow. Nice accomplishment,but I think I prefer the distance my shotgun allows,lol.

Well it was another great season this year again!! I was able to harvest my first gobbler of the season on opening morning. It was a nice 2 year old with a 9 3/4 inch beard, 19 3/4 lbs. and about 3/4 inch spurs!! He came in strutting!

took this fine longbeard around 10;30 on monday morning. he was scratching around in a planted corn field with a jake. I crawled into position about 5-10 yards from the field edge, set up camera tripod and made a few soft yelps. he gobbled and slowly began feeding my way. 15 minutes later their right on the field edge in front of me. the Jake even hops the ditch and comes over looking for me..... Well...after this evening hunt with my Girlfriends nephew...It will be over once again and man did it Fly by!!! Had a Great Season!!! Helped several friends and family members get Gobblers and even 1 Guy I meet on Public land that I knew all of 45 minutes lol. Well I've did this a few times in the past but not with everything still attached so today after carefully skinning my Big 23lb Gobbler with Wings, Tail Fan, and even the head still attached..I'm gonna make my Daughter a Full Cape mount Minus the head lol I just haven't cut it off yet.
