My wife and I went out for a quick hunt this morning dressed for church under our camo, and this big 9 pointer came through dogging a doe at about 7:25. I had to 'nay' at him to stop him and when I did Rhonda put the arrow right on the button. The brute weighed 170 pounds and gross measured 140 inches. Rhonda was pretty thrilled, as is obvious by the big smile on her face.

  • My first buck, a 7-pointer from Warren County.
On October 25th I went on my first deer hunting trip at the age of 34. It's never too late to start. The trip to Warren County was compliments of Combat Warriors Inc., an orginization that provides hunting and fishing opportunities for combat veterans and the Embro Hunting CLub. Throughout the morning we hunted with dogs but I didn't have any success. With about an hour and a half of daylight....  Read More

I go to the stand on Oct.25 and when I get there I see a large buck in food plot, at day light he wonders off. Over the next hour or so I see close to 15 does all different times moving through the field. About 8:50am a large buck runs out ahead of me from the woods and then this one I shot right behind about 4 to 5 minutes later running 2 does. Shot by Jason Dunn in Snow Camp, Alamance County

Ole man 7 took his last walk on the farm tonight. Missed him on video and tonight he stepped back out in the same food plot. 2014 will be a hard one to beat. Tagged out with my bow. Now just going to video and maybe knock a few doe's down.

Had this guy come in at 1840 on 10/13, took the shot and knew I one lunged him. Looked for him till about 2130 that night and resumed the search the next am. Unfortunately the coyotes found him before I did and there was a lot of damage. By far my biggest buck ever.

  • 'Free Pass' Buck makes fatal mistake
I gave this young buck a 'free pass' for the 2014 season. He needed a couple of years before he would be a trophy. On the morning of September the 20th, he and a cowhorn where eating acorns under my stand a first light. They where joined by a larger buck who was raking his rack in the branches of small dogwoods. As the three started to leave the area, the cowhorn lead, this small rack buck was....  Read More

  • 140 in velvet 8 guiford county
I have had alot of daytime pics of him coming in between 1:30 pm to 6:30 pm for last month. So I got into the stand on opening day of bow at 12 pm with my parker xbow. At about 1:30 the limb on my crossbow decides to splinter and break. So I have to climb down and get my wisper creek archery bow and return to stand now 2:30. I knew my hunt was over at this point. At about 7:15 I saw him coming....  Read More

I shot this buck with my muzzleloader on Nov 12th in Randolph County. He measured 19 inches inside with 8 points. He came in the field with 10 does to feed. I was excited but made a good shot. Very glad to see those antlers sticking up out of the grass when looking for him! Thanks to a great friend for letting me hunt on his land.

Eric Eller, while hunting on private land in Eastern Rowan County, shot this 8 pt buck on November 23, 2013. The buck was chasing a doe when he stepped out of a pine thicket. I made a 80 yard shot with a 270. The deer ran about 20 yards before expiring.
