The Elizabeth City Chapter of Ducks Unlimited (DU) is having their Annual Fundraising Banquet on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at 5:30 PM at Kermit E. White Center, 1704 Weeksville Rd., Elizabeth City NC 27909. All proceeds go to Ducks Unlimited to be used for North American wetland conservation and restoration.
The 2nd Annual Crop Hop will take place on Sunday, October 19, 2014 from 6-10 pm at The Haw River Ballroom in Saxapahaw, NC. 100% of the proceeds from the event will benefit RAFIís Farm Sustainability program and our work on behalf of family farmers.

Itís time for Lake Norman Delta Waterfowl to give back to the community. Bring your kids, grandkids or any future hunter aged 4-15 out to experience things such as building a wood duck box, goose hunting and working dog demonstrations, duck calling, firearm safety, archery range, BB gun range and more.
Lunch will be provided and entry is free!!! Each child will receive a hat, duck call....
I am hosting an outdoor video school that will be taught by John Boyken, who is a field producer for North American Whitetail TV June 14-16 in Youngsville, NC. June 14th will be a half day micro course in wildlife management from 12:30-6pm. Saturday and Sunday will be all video school. Lunches will be provided on site for Saturday and Sunday. Lodging not included(three hotels are with 20 minutes....

Thunder Chickens?.....these are Hurricane Chickens. I saw these guys out in 35 mph winds while I was on my way to rescue my aunts house from a hungry Hickory tree that was trying to eat her sunroom off her house. I guess they felt safer in the open field than in a tree!
