I need some help getting settled into NC and looking for some info on deer hunting this upcoming season. im in the pamlico/ craven area over by New Bern. Im from Illinois so im wondering what the big technique differences are hunting out here and where can i get into some clubs maybe...

Im for sunday hunting....... Theres no data any where saying that sunday hunting is more dangerous aka.. accidents happening than any other day of the week....mostly I work 6 days a week let ME decide how to spend my day off...at least on private land ..jager..

Huntman and I got to the DDC around 8:30 this morning and got home about 6:30 - had a good time walking around. Saw several folks from NCS forum and a lot of nice bucks.
We took Huntman's biggest 8pt from this season which I had guestimated to be about 120 inches and when we came back a few hours later we saw that it had scored 125 6/8. We kept lookin' @ other deer there and I thought something.... Read More
Well sort of a fly - The Kansas buck died of EHD.
The 55 point buck had a composite score of 330 7/8. BTR score of 315 - largest free-ranging buck ever recorded from KS - 5th largest in the world.
