Looking to find some breeders in NC near the piedmont preferably that breed these colored labs. I had one for over 12 years and she was a great dog. Would like to get one in her bloodline if at all possible. If anybody has any contacts I appreciate it!!
Well it's been a while since I posted anything on here so I hope everybody's doing well. Hate we lost a great guy on this site due to cancer but I know he's in Heaven now with his Lord and savior, RIP Creek.
Had a great deer season this past year. Harvested 2 nice bucks. Been doing a little duck hunting with little to no luck. lol. But I'm ready for warmer weather, crappie....
Well it was another great season this year again!! I was able to harvest my first gobbler of the season on opening morning. It was a nice 2 year old with a 9 3/4 inch beard, 19 3/4 lbs. and about 3/4 inch spurs!! He came in strutting!
On opening Monday, me and my bro n law went hunting in hope that he could get one. Well after a long morning, a huge gobbler came in to our set up and at 30....
Well its been a while but I finally got around to posting my 2nd bird up here. Me and my bro n law got lucky the first Monday of the season. He was able to tag this big ol boss gobbler after an hour and a half wait. He came in following a hen. It was a 30 yard shot, and I got it on camera!! Then after we picked up his bird we struck another one about 30 minutes later. It was a quick hunt....
Man this hunt played out picture perfect! I roosted this bird the day before and slipped in early and set up on him. He gobbled on the roost several times and when he flew down I cut at him, He immediately cut me off with a double gobble. So I figured he was on the way. Well, it took him a lil bit but I finally seen him strutting about 100 yds away. So I clucked a few times and then I heard....
Had a good time at the Classic. It was crowded as heck but I was expecting that. Enjoyed meeting NCDC and Viper. Sorry it was short lived. Thanks for the calls GT. They sound like my fifth grade teacher scratching on her chalk board. LMBO!! J/K.
Well duck season was kinda slow this year but I had several good hunts with some great memories. The season started out in October with O'l GT down at High Rock. We could'nt get set up in a good area b/c of low water and crowded areas but we managed to find a couple of dux and we had a fun time.
Got to do a little hunting during the November season but not much do to deer season and the....
Well its been a while since I posted anything so here goes. A couple of weeks ago I was fortunate enough to take this fine Greenhead on a short duck hunt that I went on. Its hard to beat them ol Greenheads. Im gonna practice mounting him. I've mounted a few and believe me, its a hard thing to master but its fun to do and you can save some money as well.
Well since deer season is coming to an end and the New Year is nipping at our heels I figured I would bring back a few memories of this past bow season. I know these bucks aint monsters to most people but they got me excited and I thank the Lord every day for the trophies he has blessed me with! I harvested my first buck Sept. 10th. It was a 48 yd. shot through both lungs. The second buck....
I went to check my camera yesterday and as I was flipping through the pics of mostly does and raccoons, I come across this crazy groundhog pic of it climbing this little tree. Ive been seeing two groundhogs in this area but heck I didnt know they could climb trees. Wonder what he was doing? Its pretty funny looking really!!
Pic is kinda dark but groundhog is at bottom right
It seems the site has been kinda slow lately. I guess its because its summer time and everybody is with their familys having fun playing in the water at the beaches and at the lakes. It gets kinda busy this time of year but I know GT, he alwayz has time to post a pic or at least a message about how his day went or a trail cam pic he got of a buck LOL.
Hell Honestly I think if it wasnt for....
I was just wondering what everyones opinion is on the Swhacker broadheads. The videos ive seen of them look like they beat any mechanical broadhead made as far as penetration and stability.
I'm a MUZZY man myself. Ive been shooting the 4 blade 90s for years and love how strong they are and they fly pretty good but the 1 inch cutting diameter is what I would like to change. But no fixed....
Well Ive been wanting to get some of my Trophys together and take a pic of them so I finally did this evening. Ive been feeling bad with a fever so after the fever broke and I got to moving around I said the heck with it and hung a few up for a picture LOL. No monsters by any means but heck Im proud of em. Got a few more small racks and some turkey tails n beards in my hunting shed. Hope yaw....
Was able to finally get out on the water and do a little fishing this past Monday with my son Drake and Wife Julie(BTW, I hooked her leg with a crankbait, OOOOPS). We had a good time and caught a few nice bass. The one in the pic is 6lbs 2oz. No monster but fun to fight!
Took my son to our pond the other day to throw the net and catch some little fishies, cause Lord knows thats all he ever talks about is throwing the net so I figured Id better take him before I have a nervous breakdown with him saying quote' Hey Dad, Hey Dad, lets go to the pond and throw the net, Hey Dad, Hey Dad, Hey Dad, Hey Dad.' Allllllllllrighttttt out loud is what I wanted to scream but....
Man It was a great season this year! Was able to fill both tags with two awesome birds! Also got to see a buddy get one as well this year. I just hate its already over, it seems like it just got started. Now its on to scouting for deer lol.
After watching these birds the past few months, you could say I was just a little bit pumped up when the season finally came in. I was blessed with this fine trophy on opening evening. 11 inch beard, 21 3/4 lbs. and 7/8 inch spurs. Nice 2 year old gobbler. Thank the Lord for a Great hunt!!!!!!!
Heres another shot of the one from the first day. Man it was an exciting hunt. He came in strutting and drumming and I was drooling. lol. My eyes glazed over and my heart was about to bust out of my chest. Im glad it all worked out! BTW These kids just wandered uq in the yard so I told them to sit down and smile for camera and they could have a turkey leg LOL. JK. Its my son and neice.....
