I received this photo two days ago. My friend who let me hunt his land this year, got it from his neighbors' cell phone. He works in automotive. He saw one of his neighbors while working. Don't know how they got on the subject of deer. His neighbor said he shot this deer mid December, from his back porch. Turns out his house is maybe 500 yds from my stand sites. I noticed no one had posted about trapping! I have a little experience from mentor Katie Watson, on racoon, fox, muskrat, and unfortunately skunk!

I think best bet catch em near largest food source in morning going to bed. This time of year they will bed a little higher up ridge from doe's and in thickest cover available. Windy days ravines and creek beds! Evening hunt as close to bed without revealing yourself as possible.

Well, Stayed indoors since Saturday! Good thing! Checked cams today and no activity in my area! I took my backpack blower with me at lunch and blew all the leaves out of my two winter plots. I planted thro' n gro' under the white oaks where deer had rooted up leaves digging acorns all year. Saved alot of raking and preparation! I planted in 3rd week of August, right b4 last 3 day rain. THe cam was a old style with regular auto camera with 35mm film. It had a plunger style trigger that manually took pic. I was testing by waving arm. And here is history. LOL
