8/7/14.After catching 80 trout the previous morning,Chris Tabor and crew wanted to tackle the bronzebacks. Capt Brady Giroir and I headed out with the crew at daybreak and had no problem putting the guys on all the reds they could handle. We found the fish stacked up on an incoming tide and they fed for over 2 hours non- stop. We brought in 50 reds between both boats!. The reds averaged....  Read More

Dularge Trout Slam!

High winds continue to be a problem as ole man winter just won't let go. Its been a rollercoaster ride with winds from every direction the past few weeks. The good news is that our area has moved into the springtime pattern in regards to trout fishing. The trout are slowly migrating back to the lakes leaving their winter holes behind. Small shrimp the size of grass....  Read More

Busted up the yellowmouths with Steve Jackson and crew. We had the fish going with hook-ups every cast on LSU and Cajun Pepper Bayou Chubs. The water was clear and clean at the Picketts and it only took a couple hours to ice up our 100 fish. Capt Brady Giroir pulled up next to us and whacked another 100 nice trout by 10:00AM with Mack Thomassee and crew. Both groups....  Read More

A great day of fishing with GS Rentals out of north Louisiana. Hit the water early after a great relaxing night at the Lakehouse Lodge. The reds put on a show as it was 'fish on' on almost every cast after we found them stacked up feeding on small 2 in. pogies. Talk about 4 guys who had a blast tackling the bronzebacks!! Its all good in Dularge!

Good luck fishing!

Great fishing last weekend with hundreds of trout caught by our customers! Its been limits or near limits of trout every day. This summer has started off much better than expected as we have already broke the 7000 fish mark. We're about 30 % better than last year at this time. On Saturday Capt Rodney Bourque and I fished with Joseph Kuhner and his crew. These guys were down on the DU for than....  Read More

We enjoyed some great fishing last weekend on the DU! The speckled trout fishing was phenomenal to say the least with big numbers of fish caught every day. On Thursday everyone enjoyed a great trout bite with most of the fish caught mostly on plastic. Clayton Breaux and the Seacor Marine team had 6 boats with 2 customers per boat. All boats were pretty much limited out before 10:00am. Seatrax....  Read More

Good Week Of Trout Fishing!

We enjoyed another good week of trout fishing but cancelled this mornings trips and may have to do the same tomorrow as the forecast is not looking good. Hopefully we'll get a reprieve from the weather as we have 6 boats schelduled to run tomorrow. As you all know the big numbers of trout will be caught in the outside waters and the winds won't allow us to get to....  Read More

We enjoyed another great trip Monday slamming the yellowmouths. Ron Bartels & Kenny Olivier from Schriever,La along with Clinton Trahan from Sunset,La. joined me on the big fish catching blazer bay. It was a great morning to do the DU as the weather cooperated and the trout were hungry. My crew couldn't have been any better as these guys can fish and our 100 fat trout by 10:00 am proved it!....  Read More

Dularge Report

Great trout action on the DU! Our trout fishing is about as good as it gets. The good news is that the trout have finally shown up at the island and ship shoal platforms. No need to go that far just yet as I've limited out by 10:00 am the past 3 days in the Sister Lake/Lake Mechant area. For you guys in the smaller boats, there are still big numbers of 16-20 inch fish in the....  Read More

Dularge Trout Fishing

Monday morning trout slam! Steve Coon, his dad Chuck and Travis Callais joined me for a quick trip to bust up some trout. It had been a couple years since Steve's last trip and it was great to have him back slinging in hungry yellowmouths. The crew jumped all over the fish at our second stop with bunker swim baits. Everyone got in on the fun as the trio were hooking up....  Read More

Dularge Trout Fishing

A rough week of fishing as the wind won't give us a break. After slamming the trout on Monday the wind machine kicked up big time Tuesday through today. The good thing is that the trout still continue to bite with over 335 fish caught the past couple of days! The trout are very nice with some good 16-20 in. fish and we're catching some good numbers of redfish and....  Read More

Another great day of fishing 'Down In Dularge'!
Incredible non-stop action on Monday as the yellow-mouths were eating up big time. A very foggy and slick calm morning and once we located the fish it was over quick with 75 18-20 inch fish. We stopped at 75 and could easily have caught our 100 fish limit but we didn't have any more room to put them. Fishing with Tony Fontenot and I were my son....  Read More

Sunday,March 10 will be a day that Gary Rogacki and J.C. Robinson will remember for a long time. Woke up and ready to go at 5:30 a.m. from the 'Lakehouse' for another day of slamming the trout. J.C. told me while drinking his last cup of coffee that they wanted to catch rat reds up to 10 lbs since they 'mastered' the trout & bull reds the previous day. I said the customer is always right so....  Read More

Dularge Bulls

After we caught our limits of trout on Saturday morning in quick fashion the guys wanted to try their hand at catching big bull reds. Afterall this was Gary Rogacki and J.C. Robinsons first trip to south Louisiana and they wanted to experience it all first hand. We headed south after a lil break from busting up the trout in search of the bronzebacks. It didn't take long to find....  Read More

Dularge Trout/Redfish Action

The spring trout migration is in full swing guys! The trout are on the move and leaving their deep winter holes. The mass migration is heading south and the fish are eating up everything in their path. This trend will continue for another month or so as the fish make their way to the gulf to reach higher salinities. Gary Rogacki & his lifelong friend J.C.....  Read More

We've been enjoying some great redfish and trout action on the DU! Always a pleasure to fish with the Seacor team as we never have a dull moment Clayton Breaux,Andy Rulf and Ruben Thomas joined me for another great adventure on the DU! It started off slow as we found dirty water at our first 2 stops and zero fish. At our third stop the water was still stained but very....  Read More
