There is no such thing is a lifetime warranty. What I have found out on all the trail cameras if you use a flash camera battery life is only 3-5 weeks top in normal conditions. I have finally got all Moultrie I-40 and had them for three years now. (Own 9 of them) I had one go bad due to seal on the inside was not sealed properly. After talking to Moultrie this is why the LCD goes out in the cameras. If not properly sealed moistures will get inside the unit and eventually cause the LCD to go blank. To me it is the owner reasonability to make sure it is seal properly however Moultrie needs a better design as for door seal. I took all my seals out and re-sealed them myself. For the money the I-40 is my favorite. Battery life for 6d starting July 26th will last me all year. Everyone has there favorite cameras but I have own or tried just about all of them and to me BATTERY spells $$$ and the IR’s will save you BUCKS in the long run.

Lifetime warranties don't mean much if; like you say; it's going out all the time. Maybe I'll buy another Leaf River, after all, when a bear damaged it 2 years ago Leaf River fixed it for free.......and it was a couple of years out of warranty!
BP has the D50 in the Fall Classic flyer for $69.94. I still use a Moultrie GS200 with rechargeable 6volt batteries. LCD, flash, pics are still in top condition.
My oldest D-40 (2.5 yrs) took bout 1500 nitetime deer pix B4 I started taking hog pix. Then it took over 4000 nitetime hog pix. Then it stopped flashing but would still be taking pix. I used 6 energizer D and they lasted bout 2000 nitetime pix plus whatever daytime pix. Daytime didn't use much juice. Gonna see if moultrie can put a new flash in it. It was set to take 3 pix a minute every minute, and it was very movement sensitive. Love that camera!!! But I bought another one bout 8 months ago, and it won't wake up. Gotta send it back too. Been using my buddy's D-40 last couple months. Can't really complain about the camera if they were all like my first one. Decent, inexpensive camera. They've got a D-50 out now. BPS has got them in their online catalogue. Might have to try one of them.
Just wanted to let you know that in the past 18 months, I've sent 11 I40s back to Moultrie for warranty repair. Most have been for LCD panel issues. They have always sent a new, in the box replacment, but just the hassle of having to ship it back to them and waiting 2-3 weeks has turned me off of Moultrie products. Hope you have better luck than I've had. Gonna try the new Primos Truth cam.

I have a leaf river camera......don't laugh now....it uses 3 'D' cells and 4 'C' cells. It's 4 years old and is running this year on the batteries I put in it last year. However I'm in the market for the Moutrie I40. The leaf river was $349.00 when I bought it.
Got Moultrie I40, using 6 D cells. They last between 70-85 days during warm weather, 50-60 days in cold. Get my batteries @ BJs Club. 12 Duracell Copper top D cells for $10.39.
WildView????Waste of money (Wed Jul 28, 2010 at 8:03 pm)
Not knocking your camera but them Wildviews are not worth taking to the woods...I had 2 and man i spent more time cussing them than enjoying them and any camera that takes D batteries will break ya if its a IR....Not trying to sound like a salesman but that Trophycam has really impressed me...then again my brother has a IR Moultrie that he likes alot....They p me off because i get nice pics and get married to a stand hoping i'll be successful but as we all know when they get to chase'n that p hole they could go miles overnight...Anyway good Luck
batteries running good (Mon Jul 26, 2010 at 7:21 pm)
got the cuddybac excite 3000.it uses 4 d batteries.they seem to last me at least 2 months.this camera is 3 years old.doesnt have the technology like all these new cameras, but cant complain.takes some awesome pics.
Not sure what cameras you use or brand of camera but i had the same problem with Stealth Cams sucking up the juice, I sold them all on ebay and bought 2 bushnell trophy cams IR that run a whole year on 8AA or 6 months on 4AA...they cost about $200 each but you save ALOT of money in batteries...and of course like every other outdoor product for a $30 camo job you can make that Bone Collector guy a little richer...Mine are brown 5MP but the new ones are 8mp for same price or like i said for $229.00 for can get it in camo..........Good Luck
