Fishing Freshwater
in Northern North Carolina

Lunkers at Lake Hunt
Caught these three lunkers within 40 minutes at Lake Hunt in Rockingham county, NC. The largest one weighed 6 lbs 15 oz. Fish were caught on 7/10/10

Early morning bite (Wed Aug 4, 2010 at 4:31 pm)
Got to the lake just it got light and started throwing topwater 'Goliath' (Big PopR type lure) Caught the first two within ten to fifteen minutes apart up in the creek channel where the depth was just enough to float my boat. Caught the last one as I was crossing the cove. I actually missed two other fish that would have made a picture and caught a small one just after the second catch.
