North Carolina Sportsman magazine began in February, 1994. The magazine was created to provide outdoorsmen in North Carolina with information specifically on hunting and fishing opportunities in North Carolina. The goal was to provide readers with the "how-to's", "where-to's" and "when-to's" of local hunting and fishing and to keep them abreast of the absolute, most up-to-the-minute outdoor news.

North Carolina Sportsman has been successful reaching that goal. The finest outdoor writers and hunting and fishing authorities fill our pages with articles on techniques, map features and great trips. Hunters and fishermen in North Carolina have come to trust the Sportsman as the most reliable, pre-trip planning source for successful trips.

North Carolina Sportsman is the largest circulation outdoor publication in the state of North Carolina with a paid monthly circulation of 28,000. Our September, 1998 issue featured 116 pages of outdoor news, and we forecast our growth in both content and circulation to rapidly accelerate.

Our readers trust North Carolina Sportsman, as we enjoy a 70+% annual renewal rate. More importantly, we achieve this renewal success with nothing more than 2 renewal notices: no discounts, no special gift premiums, no gimmicks. It's the continual delivery of a quality magazine that brings them back!

As a advertiser, you will share in North Carolina Sportsman's success. Ask any of our current advertisers, and they will tell you: the Sportsman reaches the market and drives the traffic!
