Day two of the 2010 Dixie Deer Classic started with long lines at the deer-scoring booth. After opening with more than 200 deer scored on the first day, the competition promises to be stiff.

Scoring for the 2010 Dixie Deer Classic class awards wrapped up today (March 5), although official results won’t be announced until tomorrow. However, the walls of the scoring booth are filled with amazing animals.

A good deed turned into a really good day for Chad Everett of Mebane. Last Nov. 17, Everett, a fireman for the city of Burlington, decided since it was raining, he would pass up hunting and head to his grandmother’s home near Hillsborough to get her leaves up.
