Karley Davidson, 20, Carthage NC, Moore County, 11/13/18 Well today I truly got a buck of a life time, I moved back to Moore County in July and Im so glad I did because it lead me to this buck. It had been 4 years for me since I had even got a deer, my last was on here a big Randolph County 10 point when I was 16 that got me in the NC Sportsman Magazine in the Deer Of The Year section. I put in a lot of hard work and time from setting up stands, cams, scouting property, clearing shooting lanes, all day sits in the stand rain or shine etc but the patience paid off. I had got everything finally set up on October 13th of course the day gun season opened up here in Moore County I was running behind and getting a late start but within a few days had several nice bucks show up on cam but then the 'big 9' showed up and he automatically became my hit list.. I heard about this 5.5 year old buck being in the area but never expected him to show up and definitely never expected to get him. He stayed gone weeks at a time and then I had him coming in once every week, then one night he showed up and stayed consistent up until the day I got him. Tons of rubs, scrapes and nice videos of him. On November 12th was the very first day time picture I had of him of course about 30 minutes after I got down from my stand I was literally sick I just knew he would never show and even worse a week worth of rain was coming so I couldn't hunt that evening but there was going to be a break in the rain from 6am-8am on the 13th I knew that was going to be my only opportunity so that morning I got up I was a little late getting to stand around 6:30am I jumped 3 does walking in and was skeptical of even seeing anything but I put out some fresh scent and started doing some buck grunts with my call hoping it would get my big 9 up and moving and sure enough right at about 7:34 I looked down and there he stood about 100 yards from me, I never heard him or seen him come in its just like he appeared out of nowhere. I took the shot with my Remington 770 .243 and he ran maybe 15 yards. Im beyond happy and still am, I figure he will score around 150''

You’re right that’s definitely a HOSS looks like tree branches rather than tines, congrats!
